So a week late with my recap, I’ve been
busy lazy. Lets start with last Friday, I woke up at 5:00am to make it to my 5:30 bootcamp class where fitness testing was taking place….wahoo!! We had to run a mile, do pushups, situps, right side and left side planks for a minute each. Last summer I took about two minutes off my mile time so I was hoping I could get around the same time even though I knew I was not in the same running shape. I ran about a minute slower last Friday, but I am hoping by the end of the month to be closer to last years time. As for the pushups and others, there is always room to improve! After bootcamp I worked all day and then enjoyed a family dinner.
Saturday was a long day at work. I started working at 8am and was supposed to get out at 4pm, but ended up getting out at 6pm. No complaints, I am one broke college student so the extra hours were fine with me. Since my dad’s brother and sister-in-law have been visiting we ate dinner at my grandparents house again. Sunday was the same, work at the campground and then work at the restaurant at night. It was good to be back at the restaurant and to be fairly busy. Sunday also marked my moms 45th birthday so after work I headed to my grandparents house for cake!!
Monday I worked half a day at the campground and then spent the rest of the day relaxing before heading to the night class for bootcamp. Last summer I went to a bunch of night classes and the class sizes were small, never more than 5 or 6 people. This class was huge and full of excitement. The session was hard and I left with my legs shaking. In fact the continued to shake all week. As for the rest of week I attended class on Tuesday, Thursday and today. So week two is over!
