Playing Catch Up

I am currently playing catch up! I am catching up with all the shows I have missed in the past week, the homework I haven’t finished, the blogs I haven’t read, the applications I haven’t filled out for my visa. SO MUCH STUFF TO CATCH UP ON.

I am loving JP on the bachelorette. Seriously, can he just marry me instead of Ashley? I CANNOT wait for next weeks episode, I love hearing all that the guys have to say. I also can’t wait for the Bentley drama, he is such a dbag.

Today I opened up not one, but two new bank accounts for when I go abroad. I wanted to make sure that I didn’t touch my money here at home, I wanted specific money just for abroad. It would suck to spend all my money and get back and have nothing. I also bought not one, but two new books! I bought the book “One Day” which is being turned into a movie and then “Baby Proof” by Emily Griffin. Then I went to my ALL time favorite store. I have literally not been there in at least two months and that is very unusual for me. So while I was at TJMAXX I bought three new shirts and two tumblers. Seriously I am addicted to these things. Now that I have three it won’t be an issue when one is dirty.

Okay readers I have been reading a lot about blogging and how to make your blog impressive and so on. I need all your help; I am debating switching to a wordpress blog instead of blogger. I am also considering a self-host. WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK? WHICH DO YOU LIKE BETTER/PROS&CONS? Also on another note I am going to try and blog once a week on Tuesday nights. I may blog more if I have the chance but for now keep an eye out on Tuesdays! Thanks for still reading, it actually means the world to me!

Do you go through phases of blogging? 
I love to blog but sometimes I feel like I don’t have anytime. I want to blog, but can’t seem to get around to it.

I thought I had everything under control

But boy was I wrong. I thought I had a handle on working two jobs, going to boot camp, being able to see my friends, and just relax. That hasn’t happened yet. I feel like ever since I got home from CT and my class finished I’ve been go go go. Yesterday was my first full day off since I arrived home on June 29th. I am exhausted.

My schedule looks a little like this: wake up at 5 am – boot camp 5:30am-6:30am – 7-7:30am shower and get ready for work – work 8am-5pm – run home quickly – 5:30pm-9pm second job – home at 9:20pm – in bed by 10pm.

I literally feel like I never stop going and even though I am getting at least 7 hours of sleep it does not feel like it is enough at all. In the mornings I feel refreshed after boot camp until about 10am and then all I want to do is crash and take a nap. I don’t have that luxury and this is something I miss so much from being at school.

I love working my two jobs, the people are great and I know my bank balance at the end of the summer will be extremely nice. But with the added boot camp in the morning I feel overwhelmed. On the weekends when I get my extra two hours of sleep I feel so much better, no need for a nap.

I am not saying I don’t like boot camp, I love it don’t get me wrong. It just is a lot on my plate at once and I don’t think I will be able to continue in the next month, I just need my sleep more than I need to get up at 5am every day. I also think this will help me, I will have time to focus on the 5k I am going to sign up for and training for that. As well as throwing in some of my Jillian Michaels Biggest Loser dvds, because I almost miss her yelling at me via the TV.

So that 5k, in May I said something about wanting to run one. Well I found one right in my town! Unfortunately I found it a little late and this will be harder for me when it comes time to train for it. I have 24 days starting tomorrow. My boot camp trainer has given me a training schedule and I can’t wait to get started. I am going to start tomorrow and I have to start by running one mile. I think I can handle it, I hope I can handle it. My best friend is also going to run it with me or at least she said she would.

On another note, I have been a horrible blogger recently. Because of my crazy schedule (as seen above) I literally have no time to check my google reader or update the blog. This is a little upsetting to myself because I love reading everyones blogs! I have fallen behind, but used my two days off to catch myself up. I am going to try to stay caught up from now on and try to comment more (which is something i have been lacking recently as well). And I will try to post a little more often, but once again, I am always exhausted. I have one week and two days left of boot camp so maybe after that I will be able to post more.

Its a Holiday Weekend!

I am posting to share day 3’s workout with you guys. Day 3 (yesterday, Friday) was fitness testing day! On the first and fourth Friday of everyone month of boot camp you do fitness testing. This is to see how much improvement you have made within the four weeks. When I did boot camp last summer I also did this, I cannot remember what my times were and they aren’t up on the website yet, but I can’t wait to see if I have improved or not. So here is what the workout looked like:


1 minutes pushups (if you could do more than 20 on your knees (the girly way) you had to do them the normal way)
1 minute sit ups
1 mile run 



after the mile run we did an obstacle course/stations. 

3 sets of ladders
2 sets of hurdles
50 jump ropes 
side shuffle
stepping in and out of hula hoop as fast as possible
15 kettleball swings
20 medice balls slams 
10 windmills each side

The workout ended up being great and I left feeling sore (again). I had trouble all day yesterday walking up and down the stairs. I continued to walk funny all day and finally today I am feeling so much better and can walk up and down the stairs without looking like my whole body was going to crumble to the ground at any second. 

The holiday weekend is now in full swing! We weren’t as busy yesterday at the restaurant as we would have hoped, but did a lot of take out orders, I am still getting used to them. I also had my first customer give me attitude. She was mistaken and not pleased when her bill was presented. She ordered three things; an appetizer, a petite size entree, and a side of fries. Her total was around 28$ and she complained that our prices weren’t the same as our online menu, but we don’t have an online menu. I gave her a take-out menu to look at and take home so if she wanted to order again she would know full well what the prices would be. It wasn’t to bad a situation though, I am more concerned for when the summer gets really busy and I am there alone without the other hostess.

In other news I have now worked 2 days worth of doubles and the fun don’t stop there. I have doubles all this coming week, since boot camp is at 5:30am by the time 10am rolls around I’m exhausted and want to take a nap!!

Do you guys like to take naps?

I am an avid nap taker at school, especially when I work the 4-8am shifts. By the time my classes are over at 1pm I am in bed sleeping by 1:30pm.
